Posting more shots of Liz is definitely not stealing anyone's thunder... it's more like adding some lightning sparks to nature's beauty. I really like Rob's work -- some of the best contributions to this section -- but he does not have a monopoly on good looking models tastefully posed, lit and photographed. Great work, especially the first photo; I like the geometry. The last photo is just a bit bothersome in that her head is cocked back a bit far and almost looks disconnected. But still very nice work.

Nice photos of Ashley taken 2014. For Mac users (I believe you are a PC Windows user based on the exif data), one program that can be used and is for FREE is EXIF Viewer found at http://www.tucows.com/preview/1103787/Simple-EXIF-Viewer-For-Mac-OS-X. Good work NWaddy.

Best Regards,
Tom

Nice pics, just a question, how far from the background is the model?

As well as I can remember, probably 8 ft or so. This was shot at a rather large workshop studio I occasionally attend, also, and again as I remember, the backdrop was paper..

Thanks Bob, your link works well. It reminded me that the lens I used for this shot was borrowed from one of the mentors.

nikonwaddy,

Nice photography and captures of your model.

If you are reading the UHH with a web browser, you could download and install for free Firefox, then look for the free plugins to help you navigate the WWW. The one I use is the EXIF Viewer, and it is easy to use. You open the post in Firefox, click on the download link to view the larger and high resolution image file, right click on the image and read all the EXIF data.

You can use the EXIF Extension in Firefox on any image on the web where the image was uploaded with the EXIF data intact. Frequently, web hosts accept high resolution image files and then post thumbnails for quick, easy downloading, and lowering the bandwidth for using the web site. These thumbnails will have the EXIF data stripped out in the resizing and compression process.

There are a lot of stand-alone applications to read the EXIF data, but they require several mouse clicks to get loaded.

Nice photos, beautiful model, well posed and well lit. I have a question about the workshop you took these at - and I'm not trying to say anything negative about workshops, but I've been to several where the sponsors "pack the house" with as many photographers as they can, with the result being that each photographer gets maybe 4 minutes per hour with the model over the three hours of the workshop. If that was the situation here, you did a really great job. By any chance do you remember the length of the workshop and how many attendees were participating. Just wondering because I've basically quit signing up for workshops, and I'm wondering if there are any good ones out there that I just haven't found.

Nice photos, beautiful model, well posed and well ... (show quote)

The two workshops I attend here in Austin usually limit the photographers to six plus the mentors and I always manage to shoot well over a hundred shots and sometimes close to 2 hundred. Both these workshops are managed by excellent photographers who try and help their groups as much as they can. Both of them have very good gear, lighting and sets. My main problem with these two workshops is that they are run by people who are more into glam/boudoir/lingerie and my style is more strait up nude with the model wearing little more than a smile. I usually placed myself at the end of the photographer rotation and just simply asked the model to take off whatever they had her dressed in. Liz is such a professional she always accommodated my request. Bottom line is that at a workshop I don't get to call the shots or look, It is true that workshops are more economical, especially with a top shelf model like Liz Ashley, but is also true that often you don't get the pictures you really want.

Sorry jondommer, I didn't answer all you questions...3 hour sessions, no more then 8 photographers, 2 of which are the mentors who don't shoot, usually 8-10 min of shooting time each and depending how much each photographer takes of his time around 4-5 different sets. I will often take only a few minutes of my allotted time if they have the model dressed in a way I am not looking for.
