got a chance to shoot a few of these little fellows yesterday at the Antioch Dunes National Wildlife Refuge in Antioch, CA, the only place in the world they're found.

thanks everyone. The Lange's was smaller and tougher to get than I thought, and focusing was hard with all of the twigs and leaves in the way. The Canon 24-70 2.8 is a great lens, but my Tamron 16-300 might be better for macro? Anyone have experience with that?

Nice shots.

I don't own a macro lens. All of my butterfly, dragonfly and bug shots that you see here were taken with telephoto zooms, lately my 150-600 Tamron, previously with my Nikon 75-300. To avoid the AF getting confused and not knowing what to focus on, it is best to use single spot focusing.
