Viewing thumbnails in Adobe Bridge

Hi: I'm Elizabeth in Audubon Park in Northern Manhattan. I have been using Nikon D700 for a couple of years and from the start my Raw files have appeared only as NEF icons in Bridge. More recently my tiff files also only appear as TIF icons. So I have to open them in PS and create jpeg files in order to view the thumbnail images. Is anyone else having to deal with this problem and are there soloutions?

Hi! In Bridge, try going to "Tools," then "purge cache" for the folder with the icons instead of thumbnails. This step causes Bridge to rebuild the thumbnail database.

Hi Elizabeth: I have been using FastStone Image Viewer http://www.faststone.org/index.htm
to see my Sony camera images. It opens them automatically and can also do some editing. I believe it will work the same with your Nikon.
