My Grandson (7) hit his first homerun in the game yesterday. Still working on my photographic skills. C&C please.

Not bad...I would recommend getting a little lower and closer if possible. When taking pictures of kids, I've found it's best for the camera to be on their eye level.

Limited as to where I can stand. I am squatting down just past first base.

What lens are you using? A 200 or 300mm zoom and some cropping would get you a better shot. You might try to get an angle where you don't have a person directly behind your grandson. I realize it might be difficult to do that though.

love the pictures! Getting closer would be nice but it is hard especially with fences in the way. Have fun!

I am using the Canon 55-250 kit lens that came with it. I would really like to get a better, faster lens but being on a limited budget I'm still looking.

try lens giant and rent a 70-200mmf2.8. you will fall in love with it.
