there is a software called"Coral photopaint-9 and you might try that.i have heard lots of positive comments about this editing program and there are many videos as to how to use this software, joseph
Photo Paint is/was the photo editing component of Corel Draw Suite and I guess they now have it as a stand-alone, sort of a little brother to Paint Shop Pro, like PSE and PS. As a part of the Corel Draw Suite it was my first PP app. I haven't used it in years though on a shelf I have a 10-12 year old version of the suite, doesn't run on any of my present computers.

Can one use Affinity with Lightroom ? Or does Affinity replace both Photoshop and Lightroom ?
(I guess I'm asking if it has a catalog function.)
Affinity has no cataloging function like Lightroom does but I use it with Capture One. I don't see why you couldn't use it with Lightroom.
The best way to learn Photoshop and Lightroom is to take a college course in each. You can take it in a classroom and there are also online courses in several colleges. It is time and money very well spent.
Another way is to join a camera club. They have experts in photography, computers, Photoshop, and Lightroom. They have demonstrations and how-to's, assignments, and competitions.

What I meant was most cameras come with a software package for basic editing on a CD. Not 'in camera editing'.
