Well, you need to upgrade lens, and learn your camera. Rent a 70-200mmF2.8, and you will see improvement. This lens makes a great difference. Sport mode is ok but try playing around with TV mode, adjust to conditions.

Thanks for your interest -- I have the canon 70-200 f/4L, but did not at that time. not a 2.8!!!! have 28-75 2.8 tho!
Since kids are in sports, just thought I'd give it a Shot

You don't need to buy a lens, go to Lens Giant.com and rent one. They have both the Image Stabilized and Non. Rent one for a weekend and have fun!

Thanks for the renting idea--I'll check it
Going to a seminar this month with instructor John VanSteenberg. Hoping to learn something new and maybe win the drawing for the lens!! Ha!
