In New York City, the office worker can sometimes feel as if he/she is assigned to a cell, and quitting time is a temporary release.

That's true for Chicago, Denver, Tucson and Nashville, too, in my experience.

This photo was taken in 1976 or 1977, using a twin-lens Automatic Rolleiflex with a Zeiss Planar lens. All my photo posts are "antiques", many even 70 years old, because my hands are now crippled by rheumatoid arthritis and I can no longer safely hold a camera. I usually include a date with the caption but failed to do so this time. Sorry. ]

Take a look at some Japanese apartments.

These shots show the entire apartment -- or sometimes the office.

The outside of the building looks like a jumble of washer/driers thrown together because of the collection of bubble windows.

Keep posting. I think you can show the youngsters a thing or two. I shot 2 1/4 square for years and think it still is a great format.

Richard, I view your "antiques" as "blessings" for we who were never there ~ who may not have even been alive, at the time ~ who missed out on that particular place and moment in history. Please continue to bless us with your collection of vintage photos...and your great articulate narratives; you are quite the teacher.
