Actually I thought the ship on the horizon actually gives the picture a sense of mystery.

Composition and focus is great. The BW conversion adds to the overall image but its seems underexposed, specially in the foreground area.

There's a gritty and dark feel to the processing, yet the friends seem to be serene, slowly strolling, even dressed softly. The contrasts make the image very interesting. I like it.
