I shoot a Nikon DSLR. In addition to that for the last year I have been using a Nikon1 S1 Mirrorless camera I take it with me everywhere I go. Now I have the opportunity to pick up a like new Nikon 1 V1 camera for a very good price. I already have the Nikon 1 10-100 video lens for my S1 camera and it is an amazing lens. Especially for Video. Aside from the Viewfinder benefit on the Nikon V1 I understand the cameras are very similar. Apparently picture quality is similar if not the same. Just wondering if any of you own or shoot with a V1 camera. Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I shoot the V2 and V3, the V2 is better than the V1 and cost is about the same. You can pick up a V2 for around $300.

I bought a N1 V1 in 2012. Used it for about a year, then gave it to my Son. Here are 2 shots from the camera. I liked the camera for its portability. I had the zoom lens on mine.

Thanks for the replys guys. I did buy the Nikon 1 V1 and it is in transit. I think the Nikon 1 system is one of the most underrated Systems going. You can pick up like new equipment for a song. I shoot with a Nikon 1 S1 camera for 80% of my Photography. My Nikon DSLR's are only brought out for special occasions. My prime reason for buying the V1 is it has a viewfinder. That will be a plus. I also own three len's for that system. As an aside Thomas Stirr is a professional photographer who has gone over to the Nikon 1 system entirely. His photo's are simply amazing. All you have to do is google him to see the amazing work he does with his three Nikon1 V2 cameras. Thanks again for the response.

When you decide to go beyond the V1 look at the V3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5n95f-cc0g this coupled with the 70-300mm lens is phenomenal.
