Sir, if you really mean what you wrote, I find your stance on not ever doing any Firmware Updates to be both dogmatic and silly. You could benefit from some updates of electronic devices, otherwise there would be no incentive for the manufacturer to offer. Granted, a description of an Update should be provided in advance to determine if it would be of particular benefit to the manner in which one uses the device. Also, the Manufacturer should not gather the reputation of distributing Firmware Updates that frequently result in turning a device into a brick. 🤔😀
