Fliter effects in PS

Normally I am not a fan of converted photos to filter effects. I took this photo of a streetcar in San Francisco and thought it to be a rather boring picture. Before I deleted it, I thought I would give PS a shot. My question is, did I over convert or not? Or is still a boring picture?

If you like it, then no. I too try to use Photshop and the filters and the over use of both is something I try to avoid. In the photo you added I would say no - I actually like very much how you got the silver to show up. I have an issue with golds and silvers. I don't think there is a thing in the world wrong in using a photo editing program as long as it is understood that the end results may have not been as they appeared. I have went to more an extreme - to the point of being abstracts. As to be expected I get mixed reviews - and that is fine. Please keep a sharing.

sometimes a basic "snapshot" just doesn't have any artistic appeal, unless you tweak it a bit. A perfect shot may not need any "effect" added. I was picturing the original train shot being tweaked with a motion blur of the background, in addition to the effects you added.
