This was taken a couple of years ago on a walk I took in Portland, ME. I converted it to B+W with Nikon's View-NX2 and added the ND+3 filter from Silver Efex. It looked pretty good on my laptop monitor, but not as good on my work monitor. Looking for advise.

Thanks,

Triplets

It looks good on my monitor and I like the photograph, good composition and looks like a charcoal drawing.

Thanks Bruce. Doesn't appear too dark?

IMHO it is too dark and contrast.

It's close to perfect. Looks like an AA zone system photo! Good whites and excellent shadows--not too dark to obscure detail. I like it!

Doesn't appear too dark on my monitor, Trips.

I would clone out the ugly 'leash all dogs' sign. In fact, I downloaded the image and did that in about 45 seconds in PSE. Much better!

Nice capture.

Thank you...I seem to be leaning that way also.

Not on my monitor. I like the mood that the photo reveals dark and contrasty has a mysterious feeling.

You have some lovely shadows on the trail beside the shack, but the sky seems a little drastic for such a sunny day. It's a little confusing...was this a nice day or was there a storm coming??

Thanks Swan. I believe this was taken in April of 2015 coming out of a brutal New England winter so it was still a bit chilly that day -- probably in the high 30's to low 40's. Very windy and cloudy.

I would lighten it. And I would crop out that dark cloud on the upper left.
