Cherry Blossoms

This is the glorious time for the cherry blossoms of Washington D.C. We would all love to see great pictures that immortalize nature's annual ritual. Surely, there are a few professional photographers in D.C. besides the photojournalists who keep busy with the politicians.

My daughter recently moved to Arlington ,VA and sent me some great photos yesterday - dang I wanted to be there this year- well maybe next year.

They are beautiful. I was told that the Japanese gave those blossoms to Washington DC.

Ah, but the greatest display of Japanese Cherry Blossoms is in Newark, NJ at Branch Brook Park - there are over 2700 cherry trees there, with the 5th largest Roman Catholic basilica in the US, Cathedral of the Sacred Heart - to serve as a backdrop.
