Anyone have one of these? The claim is it will improve your HDMI TV beyond the 1080P and appears to be targeted to those who do not wish to invest in a 4K set. There are two versions, one is $249.00, the other is about $100 more.

What is missing in the specs I saw is any statement re resolution.

I'm skeptical on this thing.

You're skeptical but you created a de novo Topic about it? Or is it that some other Hogs were discussing it in the attic first? I know nothing about this product, even whether it genuinely exists. Yes, one should be skeptical when a manufacturer's own promotion for an electronic device doesn't include the specs. More importantly, w/o being an expert on HDTV's, I find it hard to believe that sharper resolution can be created that exceeds the specifications of the device itself.

This reminds me of an old adage, perhaps the one about transforming lead into gold? Whichever one it was, it was later revised and applied to something about Richard Nixon himself or what he said:

The device exists. I'ts category is a video processor. One seller is Crutchfield.
What I want to know is if anyone has bought it, are they impressed with the performance. A video on it can be seen at Crutchfield.com/Darbee. Since I don't read the Attic I have no idea if this has come up there, but it does not belong there. I'ts beyond me how someone on this forum can turn a simple question about an electronic device into a political diatribe.

Thanks, Steve, for the music from Groucho's 50's TV show. But what was the "magic word" I said? 8-)

Billbobboy42, by quoting my first reply, is there something you wanted to say or comment upon? Or are you just being skeptical? :-D 8-)
