Nice catch. For me, I prefer to see those scenes in color because there is so much color in India. Just my preference. :thumbup:

I like the apparent physical separation of main subject from background, even though there is considerable DoF.
B&W forces my brain to search the entire photograph equally, as there is no bright colors to draw my eyes.

People often comment on distractions in photographs, a person on the periphery of the frame, a litter bin and so forth.
Colour, particularly strong bright hues, can be equally as much, if not more, of a distraction as a more physical object.

You have the attention of three in one snap of the shutter. I love the repetitive expressions, the way they lead my eye further and further into the scene. The shot has great depth and sharpness .. eye candy, Graham.
