I might have to sell the family dog to pay for it :)

You know what- I have an epson scanner I was thinking of selling if you are serious. I have not used it for about a year. It's a V700 with extra negative holders including the obscenely expensive glass ones for MF film. The scanner scans negatives, slides and of course prints. I used it for about 3 years on and off. I have been on the fence about parting with it thinking I might like to do film again but you know how that goes.

Hmmm... Price?

Looks like the ones on Ebay have sold for about 400.00- a few under and a few over.

At least the lens won't do do-do ion the house and you can take it with you on any and every vacation. I say, sell the dog.

You are welcome! I'm headed north into Canadian wildlife country in a few months and have to figure out how to get this 100-400 lens! I'm watching reviews to make sure none come in bad. I would like to get the GX8 with it for 4K video and weather resistance, but may make do with my GX7 for awhile.

I've been out to the duck pond over the last few days using the GX8 with Panasonic 14-140 and 100-300. If the 100-400 Leica turns out to be sharper than these two lenses at max range I will one happy camper.

Looks great mcveed! Thanks for posting.
I posted some images as well from the Gx8 but they went from upcoming topics to ? and bypassed photo gallery so don't know who saw them. I was very happy with focus and clarity of the images straight out of the camera.
Do you have the 100-400 lens on order? I think that is what it will take to get one anytime soon. Looks like you did fine with the lenses you have :)

Yes, I ordered it as soon as I heard about it, back in January. I get all my stuff from The Camera Store in Calgary and they have assured me that mine is in the first shipment they get. The lenses I have can produce sharp pictures in the right circumstances but neither of them is a whiz at fast focus. I see you live in Sierra Vista. I spent three happy years there 1991 to 1994 at 1800 Lexington Drive.
