If you're old enough you might remember the pain of buying film, processing and darkroom chemicals. I would consider a day with a roll or two of Kodachrome a budget goal!

Don't be too jealous cause I will still be using my Olympus lens for awhile - no new lenses right away :)

Sell your gear on m4/3.com - both will sell and you will get street prices for them not wholesale like from the shop

Could you imagine the Oly 300 and the Leica 100-400 in the same kit bag? That's just pure opulence. They would change my life for sure! If the Leica is sharp at 400 f6.3 (800 equivalent), that's impressive! I would love to shoot with both for comparison purposes as far as their handling is concerned.
And by the way, the 75mm f1.8 Oly is the single most life changing lens in my mu 4/3 system. Awesome lens.

Sigh- it won't be me doing that comparison :)

Well, that's true. One can put together quite a nice system with a GH4 and six of the best m43 lenses for about what you would spend on one Nikon D5 body. And it will all fit under an airline seat, instead of a Pelican case in the cargo hold!

I still have all my old Kodachromes. Now I just need a scanner... or a slide duplicator... or both... OH, and a LOT of time.

I remember running around San Francisco in June, 1978, madly photographing everything in sight. Eight rolls later... I was hooked!

You know what- I have an epson scanner I was thinking of selling if you are serious. I have not used it for about a year. It's a V700 with extra negative holders including the obscenely expensive glass ones for MF film. The scanner scans negatives, slides and of course prints. I used it for about 3 years on and off. I have been on the fence about parting with it thinking I might like to do film again but you know how that goes.
