Well, I bit the bullet Sunday and upgraded my windows 7 Pro to Win 10. Everything went great.........until I tried to use my Outlook email service. Tried everything I could think of and no cigar! Outlook opened up, but no emails came in and none were able to be sent out. Went back to Win7 right now and all working fine. Does anyone here know the fix for upgrading and having your email work?
I would like to still upgrade.
Thanks in advance!
THE causes have caused Microsoft to set up a blog that lists
solutions that have worked for others. In my case, like you I had a no mail problem with outlook express. The solution in my case involved me checking off the little box, located in settings, that stipulates " always use a secure server" ( or words to that effect ). Upon doing so my mail started to update and load along with my mail files from explorer. Please also note that I have retained Explorer also as it is the only way to generate a new file for use in Outlook, within the Edge browser. I have been hoping that Microsoft will fix this omission.
In my business we have 11 computers, desktop and laptops. We use OUTLOOK extensively for client information and job scheduling. Over the past two months I have upgraded all to WINDOWS 10 without a problem. Some were running Windows 7, some Windows 8 and some Windows 8.1. All are running Office 2016. I have had no issues. I am not an IT guy, just a small businessman who learned what I needed to maintain the systems to save money.

I frequently get questioned as to why I don't upload from Win 7 Pro to Win 10. My answer is when I cease seeing complaints about Win 10 on UHH and MS gets all their updates done, I may consider it.
In the meantime my PSE 14 works just fine on Win 7 as does everything else I need, so why change??
I couldn't agree more. Going back several versions of Windows, everyone I know has had problems after upgrading. And BTW, why does Windows need to be updated every 5 seconds?

If you are having so many problems with Widows why haven't you switched to another operating system?

It's just that there are so many updates. If you have a high speed connection it isn't too bad, just wait until later. Maybe let it do its thing when you are not needing (middle of the night) to use your computer.
By the way, you Kodak P880 is not a dSLR.
