I use Chrome, edge would not work well for me. I also have gmail, which works fine with 10, outlook did not.

What version of Outlook are you using? I was using 2007 and everything converted without a hitch. Some earlier versions are no longer being supported. Did you call MS? Gary

I have the latest version and yes I sent an email to MS and have not heard back as of yet. I was also getting an error message that said it did not recognize my email and or password. I have no password set up on my email, only when I use mail2web.com
However, I did put in the password and still no cigar!

Yes, it did not recognize my email and wanted a password. Nothing still worked after doing that several times.

This was one of the reasons I decided to install Win10. I'm have issues with IE now. Seems it has a mind of its own!

I have had 10 since it came out and I think it is great. The only problem I have is printer custom settings for Greeting Cards and if I contact Canon they will probably tell me what I am doing wrong.

Well, I bit the bullet Sunday and upgraded my windows 7 Pro to Win 10. Everything went great.........until I tried to use my Outlook email service. Tried everything I could think of and no cigar! Outlook opened up, but no emails came in and none were able to be sent out. Went back to Win7 right now and all working fine. Does anyone here know the fix for upgrading and having your email work?
I would like to still upgrade.

Thanks in advance!

If it an't broke, don't fix it!

Those that believe that Macs and OSX are without a single flaw are proof that Steve's reality distortion field is still in effect.

I quite agree with you Joe, you just can't argue with a Mac
head.

This is exactly why I'm staying with W7. I shoot lots of video and I have two editors that I use for different projects. My fear is none of my existing software will work with W10.

You need to check your settings in Outlook. Go to tools, Account Settings, highlight your account and click on change. Then write down each item in the account information, and be sure to check the more settings button. In each tab verify what is checked and what settings are enabled for your ports. Then go back and test the setup before leaving. If it works then, keep the page you have written all this down on and go back to reinstall Windows 10. Once you have reinstalled windows 10, if you are using the version of Outlook that comes with the new program, you should go into Outlook and verify that you have the same setup information as before in Windows 7.
You will need to set up a new account and put in the values you wrote down from the Windows 7 Outlook setup.

This is not a windows 10 problem but a new account setup in Outlook problem. When setting up, do not let the program set it up for you. Use the manual installation, that way you can easily specify the information you utilized with Windows 7 and Outlook.

My Outlook address book had to be loaded separately after installing MS office in my new laptop. I used and older version. HOWEVER, I have not yet succeeded in getting my old mail files over. They copied into my files into my comcast mail in a large "personal mail folders" cluster, but not into OUtlook.

I'm an established and experienced Mac OSX user. My Windows 10 machine is just a stop gap measure. While I'm at it I just may download and install GOOGLE Chrome on this machine too! The only reason why I ended up with a Windows 10 machine is because I got one heck of a good deal. Further, I went straight to Windows 10 so that I wouldn't have to go through the upgrade dilemma either.

I had initial problems upgrading from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. But none since then. As for OSX, it is no panacea. I had a Power PC and when Apple switched to the intel processor, would no longer support it. I could not go past OSX 10.4. None of the newer software will work on it. At least Microsoft will support older PCs.

I'd suggest resetting your password with your provider, and try again. If that doesn't work, delete the account within Outlook, and add it as a new one. It'll download your messages anew.
