Hi, Jim,
As one who loves Infra-Red imagery in images where it plays a constructive creative role, my usual touchstone in evaluating any of my IRs is to decide how or even if the use of IR enhances the image beyond the impact it would have had as a color or B&W converted image.
From that perspective, in my opinion, IR does not enhance this image beyond what it may have been otherwise.

Dave.

I like this one Jim, soft focus and all! I don't have a particular opinion on the use of IR but it seems to lend itself to the feeling of snow or 'cold' in this one and the tones are very appealing. Love the cloud that really is hanging there, and the corresponding shadow is spot-on. Don't know how you get a shot like this at 70mph, but I trust you weren't driving!

Thanks for your comments, MagnetoMan. Much appreciated.

My lovely child bride, Alice by name, has a heavy foot. She believes in driving 4.95 mph above posted speed limits. Leaves me free to hold my camera up to the passenger side window and shoot whenever the spirit moves me.
