Riverwalk Festival - People pictures

I was looking at this forum the other night and decided to really concentrate on getting good people shots at this festival. I usually just take lots of pictures of people and weed them out later. I did have my p&s rather than my Rebel but I tried different settings on it. Just wish I could remember them. Anyway, tips, criticism, whatever is welcome. I know I need some. Minimal editing done, but did crop some.
Had some straight on shots, but this just looked natural
These little girls were having fun, probly had to pay for it later though.
tried to catch the motion without blur
Ran down hill, saw my camera and FROZE.
This guy turned around just as I snapped the picture. Fell right together I thought.

I really like the one of the girls playing in the river, so cute and so something my children would do.

that's one of my favorites too. The first one I didn't point out the dog in the child's lap in the stroller. That's what drew me to that one.
