Hi, sorry if this reposts, but I think the first attempt failed. I just want to say I've been enjoying the pictures and posts, so decided to join in the fun! I live near Panama City Florida, but love to visit the Smoky Mountains, so have attached a few pictures for your evaluation, etc. Have been taken photos for about 45 years now, mostly for my own use. Just bought a Nikon D5100, so will be selling my D40 and FN2 shortly :-)

Thanks!

Welcome from the treasure coast of Florida! I too love the smokey mountains especialy fall colors. I really like your first one the blured water gives it a erie feel and then wham the red flower hits you. I love the contradiction. The angle of the shot in #2 using a leading diadonal line makes that shot compelling. Great job. Just jump right in we dont bite (much)

One would have to know a lot more then I to find something not to like. Oh - I know, it is forecast to get hot again this week; can I blame that on you? No, guess not. This is my typical long winded way of saying - really NICE pictures.

Thanks for the great comments1 Actually, on the third pitcure (water cascade) I used Picasa's "I'm feeling Lucky", and it barely changed the shot - adding just a touch more contrast. I was going to increase the color saturation and a little sharpening (my normal tweeks) but decided to leave it alone, as the look was what I wanted as it was. It was one of those lucky shots! I was trying to teach my daughter about long exposures to add a feeling of softness to waterfalls, etc.
