Yesterday evening i wasn out on the balcony for a quick smoke.
It was -14 and clear sky, and a very cold breeze.
Not far from my block there is a stadium. And I saw these light beans.
I thought it was somekind og show or something and wanted to just give a shot. The cold rushed me back in with my only photo.

Just to read the newspaper today, telling about the rare phenomenal where moisture in the air creates small crystals that soars in the air. They gather light from the city and creates wonderful effects. If I knew this i would put on my "Michelin" Ice fishing Gear and would have gone out.

Sad i missed this rare opportunity

EDIT: the last two shots are not mine. Just picked them up from the newspaper. Creds are written above the pictures.

that must be one huge stadium to put on that kind of light show

Actually they are building a new stadion from a concert park, and it's a pretty big area. And there is a lot of work there and lots of light. But the beams are not theirs. Which I did not know since I did not have the visibility to north where most of the light show was.

Glad you like it.
Now I hope I will see this sometimes again during my life, cause they say it's pretty rare, and need perfect cold weather for this to happen.

you're welcome
Imagine my regret the day after. What I thought it was just some spotlight from the stadium , it proved to be a opportunity. If I knew i would made the effort and endure the cold for a couple of hours.

So now I am ready for next time :) ..hopefully
