I went to the Avian Reconditioning Center in Apopka Florida with friends on Saturday and thought I would share a few photographs of some of the birds there.
I don't usually post on the forum as I don't feel my photographs are good enough, but I had to share this place with you.
This is a really cool place and well worth the visit.

Lovely, nice images.
We are not all pros here, so do not feel your photos are not good enough.
I am glad to see them.

Your pics are very good. Are you joking? I think this forum would really benefit from more posts like yours.

Geofw, nice pictures! Thanks for sharing. Tejaswrangler :)
Does the ARC have a 'release' event you can go to and get shots of the raptors 'on fly away.' Great shots and was the last one a snowy owl - didn't know they went so far south. Keep the pics coming.

My sister worked at the World Bird Sanctuary in Valley Park, Mo for 12 yrs as an educator and traveled extensively. I've been to it a number of times and the founder (who died earlier this year) knew Jack Hanna. WBS holds open houses a couple times a year if you're ever in the area. There's a small rookery in the housing complex my parents winter at and, although I've never been to it, there's an Audubon facility on the other side of the same town (Venice, FL)
