I rescued this little guy from where my husband was putting in a drain. He agreed to model for me in my "frog studio" in exchange for a safe home away from the heavy equipment. :-)

I must have taken a bazillion shots using my new to me focus rail.
How does the focus look to you?

Probably 1:2
Probably 1:2...

1:1 or close

Focus looks dead on to me, especially on shot #2. Nicely done.

Thank you. Which do you like better. I will probably enter one or both in the county fair, unless I take something I like better, between now and then.

I like number 2 since this is the macro section of UHH. But, if I had to select one for the fair, number 1 is the way to go. The foliage puts the little guy in context and I think it's the better and more interesting shot.

Love your "frog studio" If i had to chose one for the fair, I would definitely chose 1. I agree the grass adds to the pic.
Nice work. what lens and lighting did you use?

I completely agree. I suggest that you submit image #1.

There you go, you got your frog! Nice shots. I agree, #1 for the fair. It looks nice tucked away in the grass and the moss. If he is still available as your model, perhaps you could replicate #1 with more foliage in the background to eliminate that dark spot with the horizontal white line. It would look even more natural. It's still a cool shot though, and should place well at the fair.
