Don't know what is i, but very windy today and this little fella was the only thing that would faintly cooperate with me working on focus.

Looks like your focusing is doing well, Art. I think it's a box elder also. Haven't seen one since coming out here is '81, but that's OK!

I'll be real glad when I get my split ring focus screen in. It's gotta be easier way to focus these little things

good shot,whats a split ring focus screen? it has been very windy here too,i didnt even try to shoot any today.tom

goes back to before AF on film cameras they had a focus screen in the view finder that had a circle in the middle that was split when you changed your focus till the half's of the rings lined up you had achieved best focus. Several companies are making these now for digital AF cameras to aid you when you need manual focus.
