Using on a D7000...the 35mm just doesn't seem to want to focus as sharp as my AF Nikkor 50mm 1:1.8 seems to effortlessly do every time. I use these a lot indoors during the holidays and parties.
Would rather use the 35mm indoors just because of the limited space and crop factor. Any ideas? Thanks

Have you checked the lens focus and tuned it to the camera? That lens is much newer than that body, even if it does not NEED tuning, you should always check to see before complaining about poor focus.

Gee may be you can tell us how to do that MT or point us to where we may find out how to do this!😄

It's done in the camera. Get the PDF manual for the D7000 from Nikon.

I have a d7100 so I will have to check that manual,thanks!
I use the DataColor SpyderLensCal to fine tune the autofocusing of my Nikon lenses and D7000. I know the Reikan FoCal2 software is a more advanced way of doing that but I haven't purchased that yet.
Wow, over my head guys, just purchased the Nikon 35mm 1.8g lens for use on my Nikon D3300, so I sure hope I do not have issues with focusing, I am going on a 7 day cruise in May 2017.
