Can you use a Canon film lens on a canon rebel xs?

star unlike nikon pentax olympus and minolta/sony cannon changed the lens mounts for there cameras. Check your manual it should have a list of lens compatability, or go to the cannon website. if yourr film lens is manual focus you will lose autoexposuree, ttl metering and ttl flash not to mention auto focus. I wish I could be more specific but im a nikonian and don't know the cannon way.

no problem, once a boy scout always a boy scout. Besides now I can say truthfully that I nhelped out a star with my photographic expertise. Can't tell the people who it is you know client confidentiality :lol: 8-) :!: :D :-D
