The world of wide angle is a whole different thing. While I don't use wide angle for fisheye effect, there are many places where it's almost impossible to get the shot you want without wide angle. I have a 7-14mm on my Olympus which is equivalent to 14-28mm and I leave it on the camera for both work and play. I have a 6.5-13mm on my Nikon 1 J4 which is about the same perspective and it also stays on there most all the time as my "walk around" lens.
Wish I could have been on your trip to Cashiers! I haven't been there in probably 20 years. Being down here in Florida I miss the colors. I came here from Michigan and colors from MI to KY/TN/WV/NC were always my stomping grounds every Fall. I think next Fall I'm going to plan a long slow driving tour up through the south and to MI to visit friends. NC is certainly going to be part of it!
Thanks. Beautiful part of the country.
Nice work on all these photos--I especially like the second one.
Really enjoyed your photos,great looking.
Nice set. These really need to be viewed in download to appreciate the colors and texture better. djt
Beautiful scenery. Nicely done!
Nice handling of sunlight through all of these.
