I sent a couple of pictures to your email address -- if you don't see them, let me know. May have gone to your spam blocker.

I have had the lenses since May 2010 (came with the camera).
I am selling them because I bought a Nikkor 18-200mm zoom. It covers the range of both lenses, so I can travel light.

There is nothing wrong with them. I think the price has two do with a couple of factors -- first, supply and demand. There have been a number of these on the market, because lots of people buy the camera kit and then decide to upgrade. The other factor is that the optics are probably not as good as Nikon's more expensive lenses -- that's why they sell them in a kit -- keeps camera kit cost down.

Calumet Photo told me their retail value is $90, and that pretty much tracks with what I have seen on completed sales on Ebay. I can trade them with Calumet, but for a lesser price (because they have to mark them up to sell them). So I am hoping to sell them through UHH and give someone a good deal.

If you have other questions, please let me know. Thanks for asking.

I have taken some very nice pictures with them, though I don't think I have used them to their full advantage -- I still have a lot to learn. I am a hobbyist, and I want to be able to travel light and keep things simple.

The 18-55 is VR, the 55-200 is not.

Please note: it is a 55-200, not 300. And yes, I do still have it.
