Value of Tamron 200-500 tele?

I have a Sony A6000 and the LAEA-2 adapter. I've been wanting a long lens and found a Tamron 200-500 SP AF Di for $500 at a relatively local camera shop. I took several test shots and the lens seems to work nicely on my camera w/adapter.
The question is, is this a good price for this particular lens?
Anything you want to tell me about it for this particular camera and adapter setup?

That Tamron sold forty lenses for the last 60 days generically... (all mounts) for $200 to almost $500. Average $300 plus.
Three were Sony mount $259 to 492.
I would check KEH as well. But those to sources should be on target for the lens. I only looked at sold listings on eBay. Obviously there were higher prices asked, but those are realized prices-Sold listings.

My apologies... that was 40 lenses sold on eBay in the last 60 days.

Thanks for the info. I've bought 3 lenses on ebay and am very pleased with two and looking for a longer one to replace the third.

I reckon I need to check KEH like Kuzano suggested to get a better idea from that direction.
