I looked at Sony mirrorless cameras for the first time yesterday. Small and light does not do them justice. I am amazed by how small they are. For my catcher gloves I call hands I found holding the cameras with the lens cradled in my hand to give me the most comfortable hold. I can understand why so many people like them.

I do not miss my dslr's weight one bit...that's for sure.
I've just bought one too but need more practice to get better photos. The photos are beautifully sharp but Are a bit dark and I have to process afterwards.

About 2 years ago, 3 of my professional photographer buddies switched from DSLRs to Sony a7s, they love them.

These smaller Sony cameras are nice but lens selection is still limited. Telephoto guys will have to wait for the long fast ones to come out. Yes, you can get an adapter but you lose focusing points and focusing speed. On the other hand the 90 micro is amazingly sharp and some of there small zooms are also worth a look. But I will wait for a better line up of lenses before I leave Nikon. One further comment, external flash selection is also limited, and a Sony TTL flash extender still needs work.
Love, love love my Sony mirroless.
,,bit to dark, on the camera there is +- to correct that.
I have a Sony A6000 love it, but disappointed with the lens selection. Although they are high quality. I could use an adapter for my DSLR lenses but as stated above you lose functionality.

Nissin, Sony and several others are making flashes that don't need an adapter.
The LAEA series of adapters give full functionality with both Minolta and Sony A-mount lenses. And if you dont mind using manual focus you can find an adapter for under $90 that will let you use just about any lens from the last 60 years.
I had a hot love affair with the A7 too. Yes it's light and small, something I liked at first, but I added a battery holder and that made it feel more "familiar" (like the 70D I sold in order to afford it). I bought a $70 adaptor for my Canon 70-200 USM L and it worked just fine, a little slow on focus but the shots looked very good....the 24-70 lens that came with it was good, as good as any Canon kit lens I've had......BUT! I just didn't want to spend the time figuring out the "system".....the in-camera panorama feature was very nice, the sharp view-finder was too....but I wound up selling it and buying another (new) 70D to get that I'm-back-home feeling in my hand. I'm now involved in a HUGE hassle with Amazon over getting my money for the A7 sale, what a miserable, faceless, unresponsive bunch they are (but that's another story) my A7 story is summed up in that great song from the American Song Book, "It was great fun, but it was just one of those things......."
Small bodies, great features... few - and expensive, LARGE lenses....

Fabulous camera for a fixed lens.
Can take it anywhere!
With the size of some cameras, it's now more like you're putting the camera on the lens, than the lens on the camera.
