I hate that when my girlfriend takes my stuff. I never took her stuff.

Don't buy another D3200..best is the 3300 or 7200. I found the flimsy battery doors would not stay on my 3200..I took it back, because in my opinion, even though the camera took great pictures, the door was not close to Nikon quality that we pro's have been accustomed to.

I thought a bag with a "Nikon" plate on it was a diaper bag. 8-) 8-) 8-)

A lot of great suggestions, I am going to be busy researching these, thank you all. And it's ok to be a Nikon Fan Boy, somebody has to be one! ;) It keeps the competing companies pushing each other to be innovative. (yes, I secretly want a Canon... and a Sony... and a Leica...)

If Nikon isn't paying you for advertising, why are you telling thieves this is a prize and not a bag of tools for a safe cracker.

Absolutely! Love my old Domke's.

My favorite bags are the old Tenba orange bags and the F2 bags. Look around and you can still find them on ebay and old camera stores. Cheap, very well built and easy to get equipment out. For a modern messenger bag, check out the type with pull out camera pads and then it becomes a messenger bag.

I think he means, thieves look for logos on bags...

My girlfriend has 'stolen' my D7100, two zoom lenses, one flash and a few other odds and ends. She went with her girlfriends this weekend and we loaded up my gadget bag with her gear to keep it safe while they had more than several drinks. She told me, with a huge, adorable smile, that I probably need to buy myself a bigger camera bag... ;-)
The bag that she has 'stolen' is pictured below. It came with my D3200 kit and is (was) my only bag. I think I may want another Nikon bag, not sure yet, but not another one of these because my D610 was a little too wide for this narrow bag. I could use some advice and would love to hear what bag you own. I don't want a huge bag, maybe something that is a little bigger than this kit bag with lots of pockets and can accommodate a D610's width and several accessories and lenses. Thank you.

I'd suggest this bag from Tamrac. I own one and it's excellent.

Look on amazon for the original Domke f2 bag. I swear by it for the last 37 years!

I was looking for this response. I wrote a rant about the Domke F2 a couple months ago. At that time I had a laundry list of things I didn't like about it and I was sure it was heading to E-bay. 60 days later I'm much older and wiser! I very rarely leave the house without it and have come to love it. It is a very comfortable bag on your hip.

I like the Ruggard shoulder bags. I have the Navigator 55 model. They're more basic and aren't over the top with dozens of pockets. What I like also are the rubber feet on the bottom. I took out some of the dividers and can put my D7000 flat on the bottom. There are different size bags in each model series. On the B&H photo website select the model and click on the "SPECS" tab. It will show the interior and exterior dimensions. I noticed with my bag that the actual bag dimensions are about 1 inch less than what is shown in the Specs.

A friend recommended a good diaper bag with kiddie decoration. He said he carried one on a trip all over Europe and then Asia and no one tried to steal it. He lost his bag to thieves on his previous trip.

My Tamrac backpack and the sling bag have been everywhere and done a marvelous job for years. Not one thread loose and holds a LOT of gear; both of them.

I've used a Cabela's bag for a couple of years and haven't had any trouble with it disappearing. But I do believe the diaper bag is pure inspiration, at least until you pull a distinctly non-kiddie camera out of it.

My D600 and F6 happily make their home in a Canon bag. It was a little larger than I could find in stores.

Good thinking! No one's going to steal a bag with that logo.
