I was reading about Disney Cruise Lines. It seems that 2 of its ships where built in Italy and the other two Germany. All of the ships fly the flag of the Bahamas (Port of Registry, Nassau, Bahamas)

I guess Mickey found away around paying a fair wage or even taxes.

So what's your point? The US no longer has shipyards that build cruise ships.Pretty much all we make any more are subs and small G/M frigates. Plus, I'd venture to guess the skilled shipyard workers in Italy and Germany make damn near as much as their brethren in the US. If you want Walt to build his ships in the US, no one is stopping you from opening up a shipyard that meets their quality standards and underbidding the other yards.

Where do you think the majority of Disney Theme Parks are found? Not in the USA, they are all over the world.
And you will find Bahamian registry on probably 1/3 of all the non-military ships traveling the worlds oceans today.
Its the same reason Oregon has more than twice as many RVs registered there as the state has population! Its just cheaper is all.

The point is that not even a flag waving theme park, is not stepping up to the plate and paying it's fair share.

It's time the mouse paid it's fair share.

If not then it's time for Americans to Boycott the place.

Define "fair share" - and who determines fair? You? or Roy Disney? Or the thousands of American employees they have? Or the thousands they employ overseas? Or me?

And even after you've defined it, how do you know WDC is NOT paying its fair share already?

And remember, if you boycott WDC, that means boycotting ABC, ESPN, and a host of other non-theme park related companies. Do you really want to put that many people out of work?

Just exactly how many millions of dollars in Revenue and taxes do you think California, AND Florida, take in every year due to having Disney Parks there? I guarantee you either state would take a MAJOR hit should either of those parks just shut their doors.

I knew that. I just used some literary license, since I thought many people wouldn't know who Robert Iger is....

And if there's anyone here with foil on their head, it sure as hell isn't me.. :)

Diet if you want to pick on someone pick on Apple, Walmart and China. That should take care of the rest of your day.
