Of the 7 photos I submitted this year at the Dakota County Fair, I took a 1st-2nd-and 2 4th places. Three of my photos this year didn't place.

Very good Henry. My wife has entered the Dakota fair in the past also and we know what a difficult task it is to win a ribbon there. By the way, I've always wondered if entering in the senior class was a help or hinderance to getting a ribbon. Unlike playing sports, advanced age probably only makes the competition more difficult. You might want to visit the Pierce County fair today or tomorrow. There's a lot of fine talent there too. Unlike the Dakota Fair which only takes framed Photographs, Pierce County also competes with unframed tag board entries of sets of two 8x10's and four 4x6's both black and white. Some feal getting two or four strong pictures in the same subject set a very difficult thing to do. If my memory is correct, you also compete against pro's too or is it that there is a pro division?
