Did anyone else get this scam notice as a private message ??
I've gotten this type of plea notice several times in various forms in the mail and a once as an E-mail.
How the H--L did this make it to the Forum !!??
Firstly,I don't believe a word of it. Anyone with that much $$ could easily find a lawyer or any number of willing partners to assist in her in a LEGAL endeavor.
In case it arrives later, Judy Robert has $5.5 MILLION she needs to transfer to the US, from the Ivory Coast. You get 10% for making this happen. You will be asked to send some of YOUR $$ to her first, to allow this transfer.
Say Bye-bye to your $$ She'll keep asking for more-more-more, until you are drained.

That's been going around for over 15 years in various flavors and through various mediums. I think the first one I got was in 1994 in an email. Many after that. Still get at least one a year.

Finding it posted as a Personal Message on this Forum is what struck me as strange and irritating.
Like everyone else I've been aware of this for years in all its various disguises but I never had it pop up on a such a narrow channel before.
Truth or Fiction is another site I find informative.

Send ten shillings ,this is your last chance . A lot of people did and the person made a fair amount of money.
The law could do nothing because he was not selling or offering anything . One would have to wonder why anyone would send money. A fool and his money.

I got one several days ago. Much like one of the scams that originate in Nigeria. The Admin deleted the message. It was also from Judy Roberts. jrobos is the user name.

I responded to the scammer that I would help .... here's the response .... I just tried to post the email address that it came from but it was immediately deleted by Admin.
