What are your opinions? The bullet holes are not very large in this massive wall. Probably have to use the + thingy to see them.

The intense colours are due to brightness/contrast sliders - not saturation.

The question is who what when when where why.

If you fail to inform the viewer this has little interest, sorry.

No need for a story with this Jim. Thinking about this old wall can conjure up all kinds of stories, no bullets needed. Well done. I would love to see an angled image of this wall if you have one worth looking at.

There may be one. Will look at the files again.

Thanks for the input and the comment. Well appreciated.

You got it without the verbiage.

Colors look fine to me. Does not really grab my interest; but that might be because I'm a pretty dull guy. It got me to go back and look at it several times. That says something.

I find the image very interesting.

On another thread I was talking about "in between" images, and I think this is an example (to my eyes) of an image that would be more powerful if you moved in closer, or also possibly stronger if you moved back, as well. "In between" like this and we don't quite get the detail and we don't quite get the wall - both are hinted at. I want to see what is going on with the wall above and to the left of the frame, or else I want to see the detail better in some of the areas.

Frank had the same opinion so I looked up another shot at the same location. I didn't post it due to the really OOF problem. I'll have to wait for another rainy day and try again. I hate tripods but maybe a mono pod will help. There wasn't a lot of light.

For me Jim this is much more appealing. I tend to agree with Orange on in-between. Similar to you 1st image of the corn crib.

There might be if I can get it again with a steady hand. Or some kind of ---pod.

Thanks for the advice Mike - very helpful.

Hey dude. Back from the UK yet? I been missin' ya.

This is another one that needs to be printed in a large format. Either version, although I am being encouraged to go for the 2nd one I think a better placement of the large red brick squarish thing on the left half could be brought little further to the right and bring in a bit more of the upper part of the wall. I'll see how it goes. Definitely can get to this site easily so just waiting for another rainy day. I like what somber skies due to colours.

Good to have you responding again bro.

Thanks for the looks Erich. If it ain't good enough for a "dull guy" it ain't good enough for me either. Being a rather dull type myself I know what you're talking about.

I would hate to overstay my posting but I have one more version of Wall With Bullet Holes. This is the last one.

Could be changed to an interpretive title such as "Wall of Sorrows". Reminiscent of numerous walls around the world having been backdrops for man's inhumanity. Still very dissatisfied with the sharpness but maybe I could be forgiven by claiming artistic license. It is what it is.
