Coastline - Agaete - The Island of Gran Canaria - Canary Islands

This photo shows the Agaete coastline, called 'The Dragon's Tail'. The small town is actually a seaport that handles Ferries that connect the seven islands. In the foreground of this photo is one of three natural swimming pools sheltered from the open ocean. The pools are linked by volcanic tubes and have a fantastic view of the island’s rugged northwest coast. They are regularly used by locals for swimming.

C and C always welcome.

Thanks Linda. I appreciate your comments. It's often a crap shoot for me when doing landscapes in low light.

While I like the composition for the most part.....I might try some cropping down on the open sky above the clouds, and more foreground if you have it, may be fine like it is. Technically you have more work to do. I would try to resolve the halo or ghosting effect all along the horizon, and as a personal preference would like to see a little more detail brought out of the foreground shadows. All in all a nice shot though gym.....you asked.

thanks Frank. Yes, I see that the sky could be cropped more, and I'll give a shot at bringing out some more of the foreground.

Yes, I asked. And I appreciate the response. :)

The biggest issue in my opinion is the halo, the other is really just personal.

A relatively quick re-work.

edit: I see that I missed some of the ghosting, but I get the idea.

Someone might come along to give you guidance on which slider or combination of sliders you over worked. You could start over and watch for it as you try to recreate.
