Cabells'a also sells a very nice lens pen with a retractable brush at one end and a rubberish thing on the other. $9.99 each.

I got micro fiber in automotive dept. at Walmart. They work great.

They absolutely do. Although I usually get mine at Target's automotive department. But same thing.

Bob, just came across an old post of yours regarding lens cleaners. I talked to my optician yesterday about what to use for my glasses. He recommended 50% solution of water and denatured alcohol. He said stay away from Zeiss wipes unless the package says OK for coated lenses. What does your package say? On my last pair of glasses I used the Zeiss wipes and the coating was affected. At that time LensCrafters said don't use Zeiss wipes from Walmart. What say you?

I've been using the Zeiss wipes I bought via Amazon. I think they work great.
It's hard to imagine that Zeiss would allow their name to be used on something that damages lens coatings.....however....if you had a pair of glasses that were effected I guess, if I were you, I'd stay away from them.

I just Googled Zeiss wipes and found that they contain isopropyl alcohol. The optician said specifically not to use isopropyl alcohol on my coated glass lenses. Quite frankly I'm now more confused than when I started this search...

Does anyone have a suggestion for a safe, compact and effective lens cleaner I can put in my camera backpack?
