Escalante River is at the bottom of Coyote Gulch

Also, an arch is visible if one looks hard enough.

Found the arch and the river. Where in Grand Staircase/Esc is this? Will be staying in Escalante in Sept and intend to drive the paved part of the Burr Trail.

Hard to describe. It's a long hike after driving down a dirt road, off the Hole in the Rock Road.

Try Google "Coyote Gulch Hike".

Number 2 looks like a nice shady spot for sitting amaongst the rocks and have some lunch. Oooops did I say amongst the rocks. Those rocks fell down didn't they?
