Abstract watercolor of a blue jay

A beautiful blue jay landed on the feeding station at barely break of day. Light was so low that shutter speed even at high ISO was a major problem. In essence it was not a good photo; having said that, the early morning light was attractive and allowed the capture of beautiful color. I decided to abstract that image with a watercolor effect. I hope you can enjoy the method and the intent. Please try the download.

Cheers Jim, that was the only saving grace on this one. The color was lovely, but the capture was with a shutter speed way to slow. Thanks my friend for looking and commenting. As always much appreciated. :-D :-D

Hi Ediesaul, so far I only know how to save the entire rendition. I've never tried to save just a background as that is not how I work on these. I bet Bob Yankle would know though he and I use a lot of the same software but he is much better at it than I am.Thanks for the visit and the nice comment. :-D

It's amazing how you can take a shot that you would normally delete and turn it into beautiful art!!
Jim, I love the effect and the colors are amazing!!!

Thanks so much Angela, the only redeeming quality this image possessed was beautiful color thanks to the early early morning light. I started to trash it and then decided 'hey why not?' well I'm glad I played with it and again I really appreciate you seeing this for what it really is. Thanks for the visit, the wonderful comment and the thumbsup. :-D :-D

So glad you enjoyed it Greg; I guess this kind of shows that even a terrible photography when treated correctly can be turned into something cool. BTW did you see the Bear Grylls documentary on his survival in the Everglades? It played yesterday on a Nat Geo channel. :-D

No I missed it Jim, have to look it up. National Geo was here last week filming a new series. They drop off 3 people in hard to get to areas in all 50 states and film their survival and movements back to civilization. They chose our area of the Ten Thousand Islands for Florida, will have to look for this one when it is on TV

Hope you can find it, it was really well done. That guy is amazing and what I like he doesn't pretend to do every scene as if he were alone. If he needs help from the crew he says so. :-D
