Canon EF-S Mount, Sigma 50-150mm F/2.8 "Fast" APO EX DC OS Lens, includes Optical Stabilization, UV Filter, Carry Pouch, Lens Hood, front and rear caps.

This is a great lens with Excellent Glass, no scratches, fungus or marks. I'm selling because I'm moving to Full Frame. $825.00 OBO Plus Ship/Insurance

I believe this is an EF mount and will work on full-frame cameras if I'm not mistaken. The copy I had a few years ago was a fantastic lens, have regretted trading it for some other gear ever since! I found it particularly effective shooting basketball, enough length to pull things in yet wide enough to back off enough. Good luck.

Is it EF mountable without the vignetting i.e., not EF-S?

EF in Canon jargon is FULL FRAME. EF-s is cropped (APS-C).

The nomenclature for the Sigma lens is APO EX DC OS:
APO is apochromatic indicating ELD and/or SLD glass,
EX is an Enhanced eXterior of the lens,
DC (most important) is for APS-C / cropped cameras and OS is for Optical Stabilization.

Thank you, I am familiar with all the jargon, just seemed to me that particular lens was an EF (full or APS-C) mount lens. Of course perhaps the newer model is a cropped sensor lens and of course I just may be recalling this incorrectly as it was quite a few lenses ago. Bottom line is that this is a very good lens and an excellent range 50-150, hard to beat.

From what I could gather this lens is no longer being made, I could be wrong but that's what I came up with. Does anyone know any differently? I'd still give consideration on this lens if it was still being made so I'd like to know.

Novots and Beercat,

The Sigma 50-150 f2.8 is, sadly, not made anymore and the replacement is not up to snuff...go figure.

The lens is made for a APS-C camera as I tried it on my Canon 6d FF and the viginetting was evident and used up a lot of camera and lens resources to counter the effect.

That said, the lens is...(if I wasn't moving to FF, it would never be sold). It is solid, not a breather (no dust), excellent glass, stabilized, nice long hood, accepts teleconverters, and pulls in some beautiful shots.

My only complaint (woe is me) is that it is heavy. But hey, that means it has real guts and can take it!!!

I have the Sigma 100-300 F4 that is not stabilized and it is a "DG" for FF. It is another well made lens by Sigma and in mint condition. It is somewhat redundant to my Canon 70-200 and I'm still debating whether to sell it or not.

Seems like once you have a good solid lens; I'm one that hesitates with letting it go. I'm making an exception for the APS-c lenses I'm selling because they just don't work on FF...and that's another 'damn it' moment, Hi, Hi !!!

1903Mark1,

I hear you, I still regret getting rid of mine a few years back, I used it on my 7D. I would love the lens but I too am shooting mostly full-frame and don't want the extra work. Of course for the ton of shooters out there not shooting full frame they should clearly check out this lens! Good luck.

Thank you Sir, I appreciate a kind audience that isn't throwing tomatoes.

If someone out there wants a good deal on an APS-c system, I have the 70D, three Sigma lenses and one Canon lens for sale. I'd make them a good deal if they picked up the suite.

Shot in the dark but any chance this lens is still for sale? I was eyeing one on another site and it got snapped up before I could pull the trigger. Found this site through Google and thought it never hurts to ask. Either way, thanks!

I had one I used on my 60d. Imaging resource review says it is one of the sharpest zooms they have ever tested. And they aren't lying. Even with the sigma 1.4x converter it was razor sharp. I moved to Olympus but sometimes wish I had kept that lens.
