I have a ZX-50 with a 28-80mm lens. Not sure if it fits your K-2000; does any one know the interchangability?

Welcome to the land of the K2000! Don't you wish it allowed live viewing of the photo you are working on in the rear screen? Ah well, otherwise it's very capable. It's my main camera too.

As to lenses, the manual has something to say about that: "When any of the following lenses is used, all of the camera's automatic exposure modes will be available - (a) DA, DA L, D FA, FA J. (b) Lenses with an Aperture A (auto) position when used in that position." Those model designations, of course, refer to Pentax lenses. There are many others that use the same mounting system - either directly or with an adapter. I've heard the system called the "K Mount", "A Mount" or "Pentax Mount". In any case there are many lenses out there that work just fine on a Pentax body. I have at least two; a Tokina SD 70-210mm, and a Takumar-A 28-80mm. Both have the "A" in the aperture scale, and both work well.

I was a Pentax user for years, so had five or six excellent lenses from my film days. Most work perfectly on the K2000, but one lacks the "A" aperture setting, so has to be adjusted manually.

Good luck with it all. You have a good camera, and here's one sample photo to prove it:
