Texas Longhorns, ?

I saw these critters driving thru Temecula Ca. Monday while coming from a Winery. these pictures prove I wasn't intoxicated... Had to crop these , my 70-300 wasn't quite long enough.

Well, they look like Texas Longhorns to me...and huge ones! Good captures...especially the one of 47 years! :-D :thumbup:

I do not think they are Texas Longhorns. These have too heavy a horn maybe African or Uganda Ankole cows.

I agree--they don't look like longhorns to me. I have a friend who raises longhorns, and those long horns (pardon the pun) look too long to be longhorns.

They are not too long, I think, took this several weeks ago, talk about Long Horn.

Wish I could have gotten a frontal view. by the time I was able to turn around and park they had already started going away. but the horns are so thick. Heck the one's you took are pretty wide.

Yes, should have added that I have questions about whether they are true Texas Longhorns because of the thickness of the horns.

More like Ankole but I may be wrong. Good shots though. :thumbup: :thumbup:
