This is one of Canon's sharpest lens today. It is a 2.8 L series lens with built in lens hood and both caps. This lens is all metal construction and very robust. It was just replaced by the Canon 200mm 2.8 L Series II lens. If you read the reviews of the new lens, you will find out that they did not change the optics in any way from this lens that I have advertised. Also the new version doesn't have the built in lens shade, and uses plastic instead of the steel that this lens is made of. This lens is clean and I would rate it a 9 out of 10 being new. It has one small flaw. In manual focus mode it seems a little stiff. It focus's fine just not real buttery smooth and the price reflects this. If you were to purchase this lens and you were not happy I would refund your purchase price. This is your chance to get an L series lens that is tack sharp for a great price.
