Fixing date format in Pictures folder

Hello,

In my Pictures folder in Windows 7 I have picture folders by date that have 3 different formats depending on how I imported them
Example:
2015 4 26
2015-4-26
2015_4_26
I would like to try and get these all with the same date format.
Any thoughts on an easy fix
Thanks!

I just add an a,b, or c behind the date.

Very easy - but depending on how many you have, may also be time consuming: Just right-click the file name, then rename.

You might try a file renaming utility such as File Renamer
http://www.sherrodcomputers.com/products_filerenamer.cfm

You can make global changes to a list of files.

I use a utility called BulkRenameUtility from TGRMN Software. It was either a free download or pretty inexpensive - I don't really recall. It should make short work of this problem. You should expect to spend a few minutes to figure out how it works; its a little confusing at first but you should be able to start really using it within 10 - 20 minutes.

You might want to be careful of some of these. When I first installed LR, I was organizing my photo folders, and had a lot of files to rename. I downloaded one of these utilities, but I can't remember which one. It worked fine as far as changing the name, but for some reason it 'locked' the file modification date. No matter what I did to those files, it still showed them as last modified on the day I did the renaming.
