The first two shots are the mystery bird which I hope someone can ID since I'm usually wrong. The sparrow and female oriole are included since they are all different from what I've been shooting (Golden Crowned Sparrows and Hummingbirds).

I'm with Earnest here, lol. What I don't know about birds fills several books. But these are great shots of him and the others, Vicki, and I'm sure someone here can help you out.

I've learned more about birds since I started trying to get shots of them, but have a long ways to go before I become an official "birder" (if there is such a thing). What I've noticed is how many different varieties we now get at our feeder since I've been keeping it stocked. It's kind of fun.

Thanks much Sylvia. I wasn't sure whether that one would turn out since it was almost a silhouette before some processing brought out the light and colors.

Thanks Bruce. Every time I venture a guess about an ID, I usually miss the mark. This looks a bit like the "Black-Headed Grosbeak" in my bird book.
