Disability benefits to Puerto Ricans who don’t speak English.

Once again you have to laugh to keep from crying.

Proving once again how generously the federal government gives away our money, a new audit reveals that the Social Security Administration is giving disability benefits to Puerto Ricans who don’t speak English.

“We found the Agency did not make exceptions regarding the English-language grid rules for claimants who reside in Puerto Rico, even though Spanish is the predominate language spoken in the local economy,” said the audit report, filed by the Office of Inspector General.

According to the OIG, the SSA approved at least 218 cases between 2011 and 2013 where residents of Puerto Rico were given disability benefits for “an inability to communicate in English.” The audit concluded that rules on eligibility followed a one-size-fits-all pattern, failing to take the conditions of the local community into consideration when determining outcomes.

Huh. I could have sworn there was a big flap only a few years ago where liberals were upset that Americans thought English should be the official language of the U.S. If it isn’t, then why is the ability to speak it a factor in whether or not a person should be given disability benefits? Funny how these socialists want to have it both ways.

Obviously, this is about an issue much larger than 218 random residents of Puerto Rico. If President Obama’s 2014 executive orders are allowed to stand, millions of i*****l i*******ts will be given access to Social Security benefits. And if that’s the case, will they also be eligible for disability as a reward for failing to learn English? What a terrific s**m! Who would have ever seen this coming? Democrats, incentivizing personal failure? No way.

This un-American party is determined to get that Hispanic v**e, no matter how many laws they have to break to secure it. You can’t really blame Democrats for doing what Democrats do, but what about those Hispanics they are so desperate to please? Don’t any of them feel a little insulted by this t***sparent ploy? Don’t any Hispanic citizens feel degraded by the idea that they should v**e ethnicity over country? Don’t minorities in general ever get tired of being treated as though they can’t do anything for themselves?

Instead of handing out disability benefits to people who can’t speak English, we should give them out to registered Democrats. After all, you would have to either be fundamentally stupid to v**e for these clowns or suffer from an actual mental illness. Either way, you probably need help. Failing to learn English is a significant barrier to American success, but believing in liberalism may actually make it impossible.

Puerto Ricans are American Citizens as Puerto Rico is a commonwealth of the USA.
I don't recall the Constitution saying that there's a language test for citizenship.

So they should get disability benefits because they were too stupid to learn English? That is what is so screwed up about this incompetent obama administration.

Listen carefully. All Puerto Ricans are US Citizens by birth.
There is no test for them.

Let's stay on topic. The main point here is the fact that some Puerto Ricans might receive a government check because they don't speak English. I don't speak Spanish, French, German, or Italian. That makes me disabled in a way if I visit parts of NYC, LA, or Miami. so I think maybe I should be compensated.
