Hello fellow photography enthusiast! I just found this site yesterday and just want to introduce myself. I have already found abundant information in the forums and I think I'm going to be around for a while. I am fairly new to the dslr. What I currently own is a Canon 50D, a Sigma 18-200mm f3.5-6.3 DC OS. I have ordered the "nifty Fifty" and a Tamron 28-75mm f2.8. This a move up from my Panasonic Lumix FZ 200. I hope to gain much valuable information from this site. Good Day!

Welcome Rob. My advise is to post some samples, click on "store original" and ask for C & C. You will get specific advise on camera settings and composition too. David

Welcome to the Hog! I too am a Canon User. I think you will find this place very helpful and enjoyable.
Just a few helpful hints that I have learned that might help you get started...
1. To answer a comment click on the "quote reply" under the post. It will address your comment automatically
2. Click on a person's highlighted handle on their avatar and it will take you to their page. Click on the highlighted "number of topics created" and you can view their work.
3. While you're on that page add them to a "Buddy List" if you like their work. You can check your buddies list from the top of any page by clicking on "buddy list"
4. Avail yourself with the download on a post... Often there is so much more in the download
