I guess my opinion on this would depend on how they treat the holidays of other Religions but most Schools give a whole week off for Easter so why not.

School system here started honoring a Jewish hilday a couple of years ago. Why not throw in a Muslim one?

I believe that most places call it "spring break," not Easter week. It has long since ceased to be a religious holiday observation.
That said, I am waiting for Zoroastrian holidays to be added to the calendar of an already failing school system.

One holiday is in the summer...and the other is only a day. Schools close for the Christian hang a Jew from a cross day so what's the beef?
